WordPress development
Custom themes and plugins, with code-led development rather than page builders such as Elementor.
I’m Ostap Gumeniuk, a web developer based in Ternopil, Ukraine. I build custom websites and the functionality that makes them work.
Much of my experience comes from real business websites: complete custom builds, redesigns, backend improvements, SEO and e-commerce functionality.
I enjoy connecting what people see with what happens underneath. That means paying attention to the structure, the code and the small details that help a website feel coherent.
Beyond web development, I explore software engineering, AI integrations and applications that bring more nuanced behaviour into everyday digital experiences.

From the first conversation to the final launch — a clear, collaborative approach to creating something that feels right and works properly.
Explore each stageEvery project starts with understanding what you need. Tell me about your business, the people you want to reach and what the website should help them do. A conversation and a few examples are enough to get started.
I review the requirements with you, clarify anything missing and establish the scope and overall direction. You do not need to write a technical specification first.
If you already have a clear direction, we confirm it before development. If not, I can prepare up to three distinct homepage concepts based on the brief.
The concepts explore layout, typography, colour balance, hierarchy, hero composition and content structure. You can choose one, request adjustments or combine the details you like.
The primary layout, colours, fonts and visual style; the main page structure, content hierarchy and core functionality.
The extent of this phase and the included revisions are agreed in the project scope. These are design concepts, not three complete production websites.
Editorial — spacious typography and a quiet, image-led composition.
An illustration of the decision process, not a selection of finished designs.
With the design and requirements approved, I build the frontend and backend around the project’s actual needs. Responsive layouts and interactions are developed alongside the logic that makes the website work.
Testing happens throughout development. The technology stack and included functionality depend on the project; every build does not need every technology listed here.
You review the working website: the overall design, content, navigation, responsiveness, forms, functionality and user experience. I make the agreed final adjustments and carry out quality checks before your final approval.
This prepares the website for launch; it is distinct from advanced ongoing SEO and does not promise rankings or traffic growth. Major changes after design approval may require a revised scope.
After your approval, I prepare the production version and deploy it to the agreed hosting environment. Where access is provided, I configure the domain and HTTPS, check the live website, verify links and essential functionality, and complete a basic handover.
These services are optional and scoped separately. A monthly maintenance subscription is not required to keep the website functioning. Hosting and domain costs depend on your chosen providers.
Typical development estimates, with an agreed scope and reasonably complete content. Actual timing depends on complexity, functionality and feedback.

Estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Complex backend work, integrations, large catalogues, extra revisions or delayed materials can extend delivery. Discovery, concepts and final approval are planned separately.
Need more than the initial website? Ongoing development, maintenance, technical SEO and future improvements can be arranged around your business.
